NHS NFC and CHC Funding question

Hi,

A family member in a care home has been receiving NHS Nursing Funding and has now been deemed eligible for Continuing Healthcare Funding. Does CHC replace NHS NFC, or will they receive both?

Thanks in advance for your help.

CHC should pay for everything now, I believe.

That’s bad news.

The care home contract gives her a discount when allocated CHC Funding but was also taking a weekly amount off the fees which they say was Nursing Funding.

So it sounds as if they should not have done that.

They should not be charging mum for anything now! All bills should go to CHC not you. Maybe talk to CQC.

Thanks, but a contract was signed agreeing to pay 40% of fees if CHS funding was awarded.

What is CHS? Are you in Scotland?

No, not in Scotland. CHC.
