My grandsons 1st car rather old even when he bought it, served him very well, but eventually was no longer serviceable. He was very attached to it. One of the reasons was he used to visit his grandad in the nursing home every week without fail. He purchased a newer car, same make and now really appreciates this one. From what I gather, most drivers have a real fondness for the 1st car they owned. Enjoy the new one. Sorting it out is an achievement so well done

Well done for handling the car issues. I always used to keep a coloured air fresh bottle in side of the car in order to ease finding it whenever we were out. You are in my prayers. Best wishes.
