Carers Allowance Question

Can anyone confirm if Carers Allowance continues to be paid out if the person you care for is currently in hospital.

I have read that qualifying benefits (in my mothers case attendance allowance) continue to be paid for 28 days (although is put on ‘hold’ so to speak upon admittance to hospital) I just need to know if I will receive my carers allowance in the normal manner.

Thanks

Seasons greetings … Internet search … CARER ALLOWANCE WHEN IN HOSPITAL … top result reveals:

**If you go into hospital, your carer’s allowance will stop after 12 weeks.

If the person you are caring for goes into hospital, your carer’s allowance will stop when their attendance allowance, disability living allowance care component or personal independence payment daily living component stops.**
