AITA for sticking to what i was employed to do, need advice

Im an emergency worker in assisted living/extra care facility (like a lifeline system). My role is to answer and help with only medical emergencies, im on my own on a night as its classed as a sleeping position, i have a client who through the day has 4 x call a day all double ups as they cannot roll themself, very low mobility and uses a hoist ect, AITA for refusing to do personal care (change pad/bed) on a night on my own and waiting until there is another member of staff in the morning to help me. My manager hasnt said anything about it to me but the client is saying that manager has said to client that i have to do it. Im feeling quite crappy that i have to ask the client to wait but at the same time i dont want to do it on my own incase of injury not just to the client with rolling ect on my own but to myself as well. Really need some advice please.

Hi @Ksteg This forum is aimed at family carers rather than paid carers: we don’t have anyone who can advise on health and safety issues. Your best bet is to contact the Health & Safety Executive. They have a helpline that’s open on weekdays from 8.30-5pm (except Wednesdays, when they start at 10am) - 0300 003 1747.

They were very helpful to me when I had work-related health and safety questions.
