I received a welfare call from our local social services department this morning to check how I’m coping during the lockdown and with my caring commitments at home. I was also provided with a local number to contact the Covid response team should we need any assistance with shopping or getting our medication. Totally unexpected, but nice to know that our local council is now checking in on people who are currently shielded.
Yes, it is nice to know one council is checking up.
