Rotating bed question

Hi. Anyone had experience of using a rotating bed? Looking at a Theraposture rotaflex for my wife with Parkinson’s. Having great difficulty getting into bed at times.

Have you looked at the Disability Living Foundation website.
When I was designing my disabled en suite I found lots of helpful information.
Do NOT buy one yourself, if it’s needed for a medical condition it may be provided by the NHS.
(My mum was very disabled, was provided with a lovely recliner chair free).

We have asked for an NHS OT assessment but the wait is around 12 weeks. Even contacted a private OT but no response. Current situation is untenable. Either my son or myself are up most of the night trying to get my wife back into bed so will probably have to fund the bed myself.

My husband has Parkinson’s and the neuro-rehab team (based at the local hospital) who were doing PT and OT organised a hosptial bed for us. It’s been a game changer! Try to get yourself an urgent referral via the Parkinson’s nurse to the neuro-rehab team.
