Hi I’m a full time carer for my dad and recently was denied carers allowance because my dad gets the high rate mobility component and not the care component. The DWP have sent me a form dla434 adult and my question is if he is successful in getting the care component will he lose the mobility component because he gets a car and I’m at my wits end at what to do,thanks for any help

No I can’t see why that would be. What is making you think it is.
Many people get both awards.
If you are really worried you can phone the Carer UK helpline.
Had your Dad originally applied for both but only got the mobility component. If yes and he was denied did you take up the
mandatory reconsideration.
