Can Carers UK ask the government to temporarily suspend the 35 hour rule for CA during the Coronavirus crisis, day for a 3 month period? Many carers will need to reduce the number of hours they care but can’t afford to lose benefit. On line reporting of changes etc is not the answer just call for a blanket change for 3 months. The 35 hours covers not only the “hands on” hours but also when the carers are doing something for their carees and when they are effectively “on call”.
