Hi
I am an unofficial carer for my partner, I do not claim carers allowance. Can I get the vaccine now ? I hate to queue jump and the advice from the gov is aimed at people that are registered carers.
Hi John & welcome
I am an unofficial carer for my partner,
There is no such thing as an unofficial carer. If you are providing physical and/or emotional care to another person. You are a carer. And it’s not about queue jumping.
If your partner agrees you can be added as her carer. At her G.P.'s you need to be registered so the G.P. practice can add you to the list for the vaccine.

How is this “unofficial guardian”? A person or a guardian, or not, this is confirmed by documents. If the person you are caring for is at risk, they need a vaccination. And it’s best to formalize custody to also be eligible for vaccination in the first place. If you do not want to issue custody, you will have to wait for your turn for vaccination.
I am an unofficial carer for my associate, I do no longer claim carers allowance. Can I get the vaccine now ? I hate to queue leap and the advice from the gov is aimed toward humans which can be registered carers.
If your companion is of the same opinion you could be introduced as her carer. At her G.P.'s you need to be registered so the G.P. can upload you to the list for the vaccine.
