Hi everyone just wondering if any one could help, my partner currently claims income support and carers for my son . But his dla runs out in a couple of weeks so we will have to claim universal credit, but he does care for a family member , my question is would it be worth him claiming carers for him or will they still move him on to universal credit , and if not would it be worth me claiming carers for him before our claim stops x
Can you say whose DLA is running out? Will it be transferred across to PIP?

If your son’s DLA is ending, is that because he is no longer disabled?
Or is he being transferred onto PIP? Both are disability benefits.
How old is your son, and what is wrong with him?
If he is over 15, he may also qualify for income related benefits.
