It has been confirmed that changes to the eligibility criteria for the Blue Badge scheme will come into effect on 30th August 2019.

I don’t suppose the number of disabled parking spaces will change to accommodate the extra numbers using them - that would be too much like joined up thinking.

Where I live the majority of disabled parking spots are in the car park behind Tesco, so that’s a walk of 100 yards or more to the High Street.
Tavistock has a much better idea, car parks for the able bodied away from the High Street, lots of disabled parking spaces in the High Street.

There are plenty of car parks in our Market Town, but in the main
High St where all the shops are there are only 2 disabled places. Disgusting.
