Our council still hasn’t decided what to do about people’s DP and the rise in the national living wage that has come into force this month …

They could always give this money to the family carers who are over retirement age and get nothing!

If they don’t raise people’s DP per hour in line with the National Living Wage, then more paid carers will give up working to support those with DP paid carers. Recruiting DP carers is already very difficult. Knowing our council they will probably try unofficially suggesting that we can pay them more if we employ them for less hours …
