For anyone who needs to get up in the night - either for themselves or their Caree - it’s helpful to consider a plug in night light which is RED. This doesn’t stimulate the brain like white light does and therefore, your brain doesn’t “wake up” and that generally means you can get back to sleep much quicker. I tried watching the video linked form the website but had to give up - there are 25 “errs” or “umms” in just the first three minutes and I find that, and the way words and phrases are repeated, really distracting and irritating. I’m back on Amitryptilene, half the lowest dose helps. I’m so utterly fed up to the back teeth with Social Services deliberately excluding me from M’s assessment, ignoring my health and the agency lying about the amount of care M gets. On average being paid about £200 per week for care they haven’t provided, and them then expecting me to do things that they are supposed to do.
