I’m trying to get some advice as I work for a company who I believe are exploiting there live-in carers and will continue to do so if nothing is done about it.
My previous placement the lady had vascular dementia and would keep me awake all night and then I was expected to work in the day regardless.
I have written a grievance letter which has been swept under the carpet.
I’ve handed my notice in but the new placement I’m working at has the same issue and I was told she slept even though the daughter said she’d asked the company to tell me that her mother didn’t sleep and the last carer was disturbed 6-7 times. This is so dangerous as mistakes can be made and your putting the client at risk.
Please any advice where to turn
