Hi my dad is receiving care supplied by the NHS they see him 4 x a day I’m other there every day caring , shopping , washing , cooking ect can I still claim carers allowance?

Hi Paula,
as long as you are providing 35 hours of care a week, you can claim even he is receiving care from paid carers e.g. NHS workers.

The 35 hours includes time spent doing things FOR dad, like shopping.
