Opportunity to take part in physical activity research

Hello everyone,

I wanted to let you all know that we’re looking for carers to take part in a new physical activity pilot project, which is part of our ongoing research partnership with Sport England. (More information can be found here: Carers and Physical Activity: A study of the barriers, motivations and experiences of unpaid carers aged 55 and over in England | Carers UK)

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to research that’s at the forefront of improving unpaid carers’ health and wellbeing and by taking part you’ll provide vital insight for us in increasing support for carers in the future by providing feedback on the resources we’re developing

Although we understand that many carers experience barriers in taking part in physical activity, we are particularly looking to hear from current carers aged 55-64 who are living in England and who are not taking part in as much physical activity as they would like for this particular piece of research.

Participants will be trying out and then evaluating digital resources over the 12 weeks the pilot is running from mid-September to early December 2020. In order to take part, you would need to have internet access and an email account.

If you’re interested in taking part, please register here: Free Online Survey Software by SurveyMonkey: Closed Survey by 24th August. If you have any questions, please get in touch by emailing policy@carersuk.org

Thanks for your involvement in advance.

Sounds great, but I am also late

Thanks Great i will think about joining

I applied ages ago. Heard nothing since. Please could we have a “progress report”?

Thanks to everyone who has signed up to take part in this physical activity research.

I’ve been in touch with our colleague Rachael who is leading on this and she said that you should receive an email by today with further details on taking part. Quite a few people didn’t provide email addresses though, so if you don’t receive an email please send me a private message and I’ll ask Rachael to contact you.
