NHS Continuing health care funding question

Hello Forum

The NHS nurse assessing my aunt for NHS continuing health care funding/CHC wishes to carry out the
NHS Check List and then if appropriate/positive checklist,
then complete the NHS Decision Support Tool/DST on the same day.

Is it normal to complete this all on the same day?

My aunt has had a negative checklist in the recent past.
My aunt 88 had falls hospital that resulted in hospital admissions leading to postoperative delirium on top of her “mild dementia”.
So unfortunately now my aunt is in a nursing home since February 2021 and very confused.
In December 2021 she was living at home with just 2 hours of care a week.

regards
iain

That sounds OK to me.
Make sure you are present if possible, and accidentally on purpose record the whole visit on your phone or similar!

…also, be on the lookout for suggestions that your Aunt is “managing or coping” in any of the eleven domains that they check - that lets them off the hook.
