Hello,

I start a new job in the new year and it is over the threshold so I won’t be able to receive carer’s allowance despite caring for the family on my days off.

My question is does the carers allowance stop immediately or on the first day of my new job?

I rang the official carer’s allowance number and the advisor didn’t give me a straight answer.

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

All I know is my monthly wage after tax is £1,000 I don’t meet the threshold.

I’m not sure if I’m entitled to any other form of benefit?
