Just got one of them calls you don't want

On Tuesday, I got a call from the doctor telling me he was worried about my wife; so I called 999 and hours later they turned up and convinced her she didn’t need to go.
Wednesday, the Doctor came and had her booked in, and a few hours ago, I got a call telling me they don’t think she has long.
Kidneys, liver and bladder all with issues + stroke in the past have left her bed-bound.

Hugs, not the call anyone ever wants. Is there anyone who can support you?

Hugs, I don’t know what to say. Other than I hope they find someone that can support you and your wife until the end. Hopeful friends and family will gather around to help and support. I can see why you sort of put off by the 999 service which is wrong, yes it could be due to the strike or shortage of beds but someone from the NHS should have said something other than make your wife it was not worth her going in but helped to find somewhere that could support her. the system is a right mess.

@CreamCrackered I’m sorry to read this. Thinking of you and your wife. Sending hugs, cyber support and saying a prayer.

I am sorry to hear this, CreamCrackered. Your report of what happened last Tuesday seems a bit strange. If the doctor considered that your wife ought to be in hospital, I would have expected him to arrange the admission himself at that time, not palm the job over to you. He would not need to be at your home to do this.

Anyway, we are thinking of you. How do things stand now?
