My mum is in receipt of Attendance allowance .She also gets the disability premium .Mum has Alzihermers and vascular dementia . I am worried about whot mum would loose if I claim carers allowance . When I did a calculation online on gov.uk it came up that mum would be entitled to full housing benefit .I dont know about council tax .Anyone know anything about this

Do you have a home elsewhere?
Do you have Power of Attorney, or are you her DWP Appointee?
From the day of diagnosis, mum has been exempt from Council Tax!
It’s easy to claim and it can be backdated. In one case someone had over £8,000 refunded!!!
Is mum claiming Attendance Allowance?
Does she have over £23,000 in savings? Yes/No.
Does she own her house?
