Hi @Mimba
Welcome to the forum.
This all sounds just so stressful.
I think it’s best to contact Citizens Advice bureau or Carers Uk helpline as I don’t want to give the wrong advice.
For information and signposting, our telephone Helpline is available on [0808 808 7777](tel:0808 808 7777) from Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm (including Bank Holidays).
If you have a more complex query or would like more detailed guidance, we suggest you contact our email Helpline (advice@carersuk.org), as we’ll be able to provide more information
When is your next UC payment due? S is paid his monthly, does that give you any leeway?
Make a formal complaint to your MP and copy it to DWP. Sent by recorded delivery.
Alternatively, ring them again, be sure to ask the name of the person you speak to at the BEGINNING OF THE CALL, don’t accept whatever they say, and ask to speak to their Line Manager, and if necessary her Line Manager. My best friend used to be in charge of their calls in our area! This is her advice to me.
