Hallo

Hallo Careruk forum
I am new. Feeling the pressure a bit and reaching out for other people in same sort of situation. I became a carer at start of lock down to look after my lovely twin brother who has serious mental health issues. But the Covid 19 is creating a lot of isolation.
I live in Devon, love cats and gardening.
Are there any online meetings? Or other type of get to gethers.
With best wishes
Caroline

Hello Caroline and welcome to the forum

Carers UK has weekly online chat sessions - the details are here

https://www.carersuk.org/help-and-advice/get-support/online-meetups

You may also find that there is/are meet ups through your local Carers support group - just google “Carers Support Group” and the name of your local town.

Dear Ian and Susie who replied. Thank you so much. A great start to the day to have this contact.
I am not techi, but will try to do the online chat.
Ian, what is “herd”?
best wishes
Caroline

A typo for “here” would make sense.

There’s opportunities to chat on the monthly “Roll Call” topic:-

…or just start your own topic if there’s something that you want to chat about, we don’t have to talk caring all the time.
