At Beat, we know that caring for someone who has been diagnosed with, or thinks they have an eating disorder can feel overwhelming and exhausting. It’s important you have your own support network and coping mechanisms. Here are some ways we can help:
-
POD (peer support and online development) is Beat’s e-learning platform for anyone supporting someone with an eating disorder. POD provides you with a space to learn, share and find community through workshops, chat rooms and forums. Make an account here.
-
Skills workshops designed specifically for those supported someone with an eating disorder, delivered by eating disorder clinicians.
-
Beat’s online groups and Helpline are available to any carers who may need support, as well as anyone affected by eating disorders.
-
You can use HelpFinder our online directory, to find a list of our support programmes, NHS eating disorder services and other providers of eating disorder help available near you.
