DWP PHONE LINE 45 Minute wait then out of order!

I am always very careful filing things, but can’t find anything that says how many points he scored at his last assessment. As this may seriously affect his financial situation because of rage Chancellor I thought I’d better find out. After 45 minutes on the phone there was a message to say “the system isn’t working today, try again another day.”
Earlier today I’d tried to find out something else for M, after 90 minutes I told the third advisor that whilst they might think they’d all been trained in special needs now, they were wrong. It was an absolute shambles!

Oh what a shambles. Such a waste of your time too. If you have a copy of the form submitted you could probably work out his score - I’m sure you’d have challenged them if they had argued re his points.

I can’t find a copy of the last assessment, which was done by a DWP Visiting Officer as I can’t write more than a few words by hand, as required!
I’m just wondering if I ever had it? Maybe sent to the VO instead?
It’s time DWP had help from whoever arranged the new Passport Office system, which can now issue new Passports incredibly quickly.

Later I looked at the DWP site and found that they have an online request service!

It’s easy to use, just fill in a few basic details, tell them what you want and they’ll send it to you!
Hopefully others here will use it rather than hang on the phone line.

Thanks for the info about the Online Request Form facility. I had no idea that existed. Makes a LOT of sense. I will remember than in future. It MUST speed up things for them when people simply want a form sending out or similar - even in your case where you request a copy of a completed form. That can be handled by much junior staff than those needed to answer phones (hang on - DWP don’t hink about that!)
