Claiming Carers Allowance and UC. DWP say they'll phone me this week

Currently, claiming Carers Allowance and Univ Credit. About a month ago, the DWP wanted copies of my bank statements backdated to 4 months. They then wanted a photo of my holding my passport. The number of times I had to resend this in was ridiculous as they apparently had problems reading the details of my passport!

Now they say they’re going to phone me this week about, presumably about the info I provided them with. Has anyone else been through this? What should I expect with this phone call?

I don’t know. However you are entitled to copies of everything they hold on computer, by making an SAR - Subject Access Request. Just write to them, headed Subject Access saying you want copies of everything for the period under investigation. It must be provided within 28 days.
