Hi Zoe, welcome to the forum.

It sounds like you have done so much for so long. It’s time to get urgent help.
Ring Social Services and say you CANNOT care any more, that you need your parents to go into respite care, with a view to long term care, immediately.
They should then do a Needs Assessment for each parent, and a Carers Assessment for you.

There are some things to consider.
Who owns the house?
Are they both receiving Attendance Allowance (assuming they are pensioners)
Has anyone told you that if dad has dementia, he is EXEMPT from Council Tax since the day of diagnosis. This can be backdated. One person has received £8,000 as a refund!!
Do they have over £46,000 in the bank, between them?
Do you have Power of Attorney?

A lot of links Zoe but most of these should cover what you need.

Thank you very much I sent a email to my council to see if there any help

Zoe, you need to ring them up and INSIST on urgent help.
In the current situation, they will use any excuse they can to delay providing care, so you are going to have to be very pushy.
