Hi - hoping you will be able to advise.
I currently work full time and care for my elderly mum who doesn’t live with me.
I’m looking into taking a 6 month career break next year when my current role finishes - as I’m exhausted
I would still be employed but the break would be unpaid.
From my employer’s perspective I can claim carers allowance.
As I wouldn’t be earning anything - I presume that this is ok as far as carers allowance is concerned?
