I have just noticed my carers allowance hasn’t been paid, no letters or anything . The only difference was I was self isolating due to covid so physically couldn’t go to my mum’s house but I was still doing online shopping, sorting out her bills etc from home . I did start a part time job back in October and I did declare this and they agreed it was all above board. I have got two elder brothers who absolutely despise me and wonder whether they have been causing trouble as they have done things like this with my parents in the past .

you need to contact the Carers allowance department to find out.

The rules for Carers Allowance have been changed slightly because of the pandemic.
You do NOT have to be there for 35 hours, things like support on the phone also count.
