Hi, I’m looking for advice please. I am a carer to my daughter and also work part time as a carer in the community. I am currently claiming carers allowance and have reduced my hours to be within the earning limit. My car is used for work and travelling between service users. It is now needing replaced and I had heard you can lease a car and offset this as a deductible expense when claiming carers allowance. This would enable me to up my hours to pay for the car and still be within the limit. Does anyone know if this is correct? Thank you in advance.
