Attendance allowance, how long does it take to come through?

Hi all, I applied for Attendance allowance for my mum probably a couple of months ago and have received back the POA which I had to send with it. I’ve not heard anything else, is this the norm? Should we expect a letter or form?

Sorry to ask, I’m sure the answer is on this forum somewhere but I cannot find it.

If you’ve had it back then the application is under way, but like everyone else they have staffing issues. The good news is that when awarded, it will be backdated to the day of application, maybe a bit extra as well.
