Not really. We’ve got a while yet.
@Charlesh47 , when deciding on a new car, go down the hybrid route. Better MPG than all electric.
So far we’re considering a straight hybrid rather than plug-in, and avoiding all electric. If we can’t find what we need, we can extend our current lease for up to two years. We’ve got until late October before we have to decide, but I’m checking the trends in what is coming out of the manufacturers at the moment.
@Charlesh47 , plug-in or self charging hybrids are what to go for. Considering petrol and diesel vehicles will be phased out very soon, it’s what you want.
Haha.
That was entertaining.
A comment about my state pension and carers allowance turned into a discussion about cars, steam engines and buses.
Not sure how it got there but it made me smile.
It’s amazing where some of our conversations can end up sometimes!
@Mark_D , I call it the tapestry of life. ![]()
@Charlesh47 , this much it true (as Spandau Ballet said).
A number of us have a “quirky sense of humour” or is it the verge of a breakdown leading to a trip to the Funny Farm??
@bowlingbun , very well put. My mum would cringe to the point of worry when I try to tell jokes. My mum blames most of the comedians I like. I like near the knuckle humour.
@bowlingbun , I thought a funny farm was when comedians come from ![]()
