My 30 year old daughter was sectioned on Monday, we are not allowed to see her, she is pregnant and the hospital are refusing to give us any information. What do we as parents and her husband have rights to know?

The patient has the right to confidentiality as so the Mental Health unit don’t have to give info about the patient.
But the mental health unit should give sources of support to the family and loved ones.
And if the patient agrees, involve the family in the treatment and care plan.
And help towards an unpaid carers assessment.
You need to be clear if the hospital is withholding or your daughter has told them to withhold.
