Hello all,

My 93-year-old mother needs to change the name on her power of attorney and has been quoted almost £900 to do so.

This seems like an exhorbitant sum just for making a name change and I was wondering if anyone might know of a service or individual who works with the elderly assisting them with legal matters in a more affordable way?

I’m presuming you have been quoted £90 by a solicitor ? You don’t need a solicitor to make changes to a POA you can do it yourself via the .GOV website
