If he has no savings and benefits are his only income, then he may be entitled to financial support for the needs, from Social Services. His attitude towards you is, frankly, horrible, especially when you have health issues of your own. Do you own or rent your home?

Good evening ! I am also new to the forum, and totally sympathise as am in a fairly similar situation with my wife.
Regarding a contingency plan; I found “The Princess Royal Trust for Carers” very helpful and have a 48 hour contingency plan in place.
