Good afternoon,
I am new on here and I hope I can get this post answered.
I work in support work with supported living clients,
What are our rights as support workers if a client records a conversation without the consent of the support worker and then the client uses that recording to manipulate a situation so that it means the support worker is unable to work because the clients do not like being challenged and twist the story to ensure that employee doesn’t work in that particular place of work.
Hello Gordon
I regret that we are unable to answer your question and would suggest that you contact your union (UNISON ?).
Carers UK is a charity set up to advise and support those caring for a relative or friend in an unpaid, non-professional capacity - although some of our forum members are paid care workers alongside their family caring duties we do not have the resources to advise professional care workers.
