I don’t have personal experience of social prescribing but saw a documentary / news report about it. I thought it sounded good for those struggling with loneliness, mental health issues, lack of confidence or social networks.
The people I saw were benefiting from activities such as volunteering in a community garden. Like anything, it depends on who is organising it.

I’ve just noticed that it was a support worker, not a social worker who spoke to you about mum’s entitlement to support. I’d complain and ask for an experienced social worker to deal with the situation.

Hi, I noticed your reply in which you mentioned your NHS pension. I have a similar amount to you and was granted Carers Allowance… Its not much but it helps… worth looking into, and isnt means tested.
