I have similar issues, my mum is elderly and I have experienced truama in childhood. I find it difficult to deal with feeling angry about it and the feeling guilty for feeling angry. It feels like a constant circle. Hopefully I can get talking therapy to resolve it, this is something I had tor reffer myself too but I am sure you can ask your gp to reffer you. I hope doing therapy can help find better ways to cope. I did some intense cbt, the only advice I have right now, is get a diary, get to your gp and get reffered to the IAPT and trust the process. Write down everyones names/number and all your appointments to ensure you don’t get lost. You can also request a carers assesment if your parents won’t do an adult assesment on their own and these assesments can be done away from them.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts and comments. It makes me feel less alone. Today has been a bad day, migraine and feeling very tired.
Seeing parents tomorrow and hoping to broach getting more personal space

That was where counselling helped me manage mum’s expectations. Tell your parents you won’t be able to come as you are busy but do NOT say why, as it gives them the opportunity to say Is that more important than us? Do they have anyone doing their cleaning? Remind them you are daughter not cleaner, or slave.
