Government carer plan by 2018

Been looking at the report done by the government:-

Carers at the heart of 21st Century families and communities.

“A caring system on your side”
“A life of your own”

Our vision is that by 2018, carers will be universally recognised and valued as being fundamental to strong families and stable communities. Support will be tailored to meet individuals’ needs, enabling carers to maintain a balance between their caring responsibilities and a life outside caring, whilst enabling the person they support to be a full and equal citizen.

It is now 2020 and what help and support am i getting NONE.

Promises, promises!

Who wrote this Londonbound was it Labour or Conservative?

Gordon Brown Labour.

This was written in 2008, a 10 year plan to improve the life and support

of unpaid carers.

Can provide a link but just type in you should be able to find it.

Thanks Londonbound

Didn’t think it sounded like a Conservative policy.

Honestly it is hard to see anything changing that’s why we need to put ourselves first when we can. Even if its small things through the day.

I sat in the garden.

My hubby is not well at the moment and I am concerned I may end up caring for three. Its awful its the first thing I thought of instead of oh no poor him.

I am just hoping its something that will pass and isn’t serious.
