I’ve worked all my life taking on average 1.500 pcm,
now I’m caring for my pensioner mother who is in remission from lung cancer, my income is 258.00 pcm i do get dla but the total income is still under 500.00 pcm am I entitled to carers premium? Please help, I worry because I will soon move in and am worried about rent, thank you for reading this

Claiming Carers Allowance , although it will not be paid , will trigger the Carers Premium.

You are unable to be paid both of these benefits at the same time.
However you should still claim Carers Allowance, you will not receive payment, but you will be eligible for the Carer Premium in your ESA applicable amount.

Moving in with your mother … rent also mentioned ?
A number of potential problems rear their heads.
Care to expand on this ?
Owner occupied / rented … if the latter , social or btl ?
Value … if a potential move into a nurdsing / care home is the only option in the future ?
In short , you need to ponder on your residential status should the worse happen … and take steps to ensure that they are no problems.
