Hi Carers,
Looking for some first had advice/experience.
My sister in law is currently being considered for CHC funding. During the assessment a risk assessment was mentioned. We’re not sure what these actually are, but I’m assuming it’s to ensure her home is suitable.
So I’m wondering, has anyone here ever been through a risk assessment in their, or their families homes?
Can anyone tell me what things entail or what they’re looking for? My sister does not want to go into a care home, and so we want to make absolutely certain there is no opportunity for the CCG or anyone to question if her home is appropriate to remain in.
If anyone has been through the CHC process, what other kinds of risk assessments do they carry out?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
