Can I urge everyone to read the recently launched “Recovery Plan” which Michael has loaded up this morning.
It has the potential to really change the lives of carers, IF it is adopted by the people it is aimed at.
It’s far more than a Recovery Plan, I’d call it more of a Charter for Carers which should be adopted nationally, and to ensure commitment I’d like to see some sort of “Sign Up” exercise by the CEO’s of various organisations. (Maybe to start with the Director of Hampshire Social Services???)
My son has a new social worker who “hasn’t got time” to read his file, and writes to me as if I’m a perishing nuisance, not a single parent concerned about her son’s welfare after she dies.
