I’m not sure if any of you were in a similar situation, but I care about my partner and I get carer’s allowance usually on Saturday/Monday, but this Monday I did not get it. My partner called DWP and was informed that my claim was suspended without any reason (at least advisor couldn’t find any on the system), so the advisor said that she will issue the payment and reopen my claim.
The only thing that change is my claim is that I have also applied for PIP for mental health and my partner (physical disability) became my appointee, as I couldn’t speak on my own during the assessment as I got panic attack.
Can this affect my carer’s allowance payment? I still care about him (making him food, helping dressing, etc.) Also is it normal for the DWP to suspend claims without any reason?
