New single CQC Assessment

Unfortunately I read this on a site for professional carers, to download there is a charge.
Please can someone do some research and put a link on?
I know from personal experience how stressful the old assessments were.
It was the only thing I ever gave up on, for fear of a nervous breakdown when mum was very ill, and I was utterly exhausted!

Hi @bowlingbun I’ll raise it with the admin/helpline team.

Hi @bowlingbun This appears to be the CQC assessment form used to judge care homes.

Hampshire doesn’t seem to have copies of their own form online but they do give some suggestions for preparation: Carer’s assessment | Health and social care | Hampshire County Council

In your case I’d make it clear exactly how much you do for M, without saying anything about the care company or the crap assessments they’ve carried out.

Thanks Charles, I’ve made a list of all the things I do for M that no one else will.
I had an A4 lined pad and now have an almost full sheet, which surprised even me! Before my assessment next week I’ll type it up, a copy for each of them.
I’ve also just printed off a copy of Hampshire’s new “Carers Charter” - not easy to find, the old one usually appears on a search, which says everything about HCC!
It talks about recognising my needs as a carer, my expertise, knowledge and the important role I play, and welcoming my involvement. Not quite my experience!

Hi @bowlingbun

Thanks for posting about the CQC single assessment framework. Is this the information you were looking for?

Wishing you well
