New member caring for disabled husband and MIL

I am shocked !

To treat a patient like that is unforgiveable - you need to keep telling the Ward that he has told you he feels suicidal BECAUSE OF THE WAY HE IS BING TREATED.

When you have contact from CEO office - tell THEM as well. Once they know that it makes this a huge RED FLAG because if anything does happen to him then they have been aware and totally failed in Duty of Care. The last thing any of them will want is blame falling on their shoulders!!!

:people_hugging:  for you and I do hope it gets a little easier soon. None of us should have to deal with that sort of problem when a loved one is supposed to be in a place of safety and care.

NEVER be afraid to complain and keep complaining until you get satisfaction. Have a go at everyone you meet. Remember “the squeaky gate gets the oil”…

Hello everyone
A new update. Since I complained the care improved and the treatment to the extent he is now much better. He is being discharged on Thursday with care package, I am nervous but willing to see how it goes. I have had some therapy about my feelings and I’ve realised I need to now step back and let the carers take over as otherwise I will not be able to work and will go crazy.
Thank you all again for your help and I’ll let you know how it goes…
Regarding MIL they have accepted she is unable to come home and are actively looking for somewhere for her to go. Fingers crossed it will be right for her
