Local Authority FOI Request

I emailed our local authority for 2 Freedom Of Information requests. One on the Transfer of Management of the new Advocacy Service. The response; the name of the company, not what I requested.

The 2nd one, what the local authority’s position was on unpaid family Carers; as I heard from our local Carers Centre that according to the Equality Act; unpaid family Carers have the same rights as paid Carers ie to be treated as equal to all other professionals. The response a load of non-sense, also including a link to what is defined on this forum - indicating they don’t have any concrete policy of Carers rights.

All this on a measly doubled-sided A4 page - like they haven’t a clue.
