I'm struggling. Words of encouragement needed

@Pujibob Do you have a ‘Nextdoor’ in your area? If so you could post there and see if there is a Book Club locally or a local Facebook? Yes ‘Roll Call’ is very good and we do support each other. 11 years ago someone posted on Next door asking if there was a local Book Club and several of us said we would like to join one too. So we held a meeting and I went with a note book……suddenly I was ‘Chairman’. But it has progressed and I learnt as I went along. Also if there is a Meet Up in your area worth looking into? They are not a dating site but offer events such as meals out and quiz evenings. Our local one has folded but there may be one in your area. Good Luck. Main thing is to get out there and take baby steps for a new social life. Let us know how you get on.

Dear @Pujibob
Some of us are like candles,:candle: we need a calm atmosphere to shine,
I disappear :dotted_line_face: if others around me have a strong presence,
Find your gentle folk or spacious situation and your flame will shine,
My safe space is an allotment,
Warm wishes Ula

We can’t be superwomen. You’re absolutely right. Finding the right balance within the family is important for everyone’s wellbeing, including ours. I’m trying to get my sister to help more, but sometimes she seems blind to the situation and what mum’s needs are. I don’t think I should spoon-feed her everything.

Does mum have under £23,000 in savings? If so she might be entitled to free or subsidised care. Is she claiming all the benefits which she is entitled to?
