Today, is Helpline Awareness Day, this is a national campaign held on the 23rd of February that shines a spotlight on the incredible work of helplines across the UK.
How can our helpline help you? For signposting and general information, you can call our telephone helpline on 0808 808 7777, Monday–Friday, 9am–6pm. However, if you have a more complex query about being an unpaid carer or need detailed guidance, we encourage you to use our email helpline service. This is the best way to get more specific information to your query. You can reach our advisers at advice@carersuk.org.
Some of the topics our advisors provide information on include:
-
benefits and financial support
-
your rights as a carer in the workplace
-
carers’ assessments and how to get support in your caring role
-
services available to carers and the people you care for
-
how to complain effectively and challenge decisions.
