Help, complex issue with children with autism, chromosome microdeletion, and extra chromosome?

Residential will take off the pressure on you, I nearly had a breakdown. IPSEA saved me at the time, but sadly later I became very ill. My consultant told me “25 years without a proper holiday didn’t do you any favours”. Not just son, but all four parents were needing lots of my time and energy. You are not invincible. Specialist care does exist. In my area there is Southlands School.

Thank you @Janet_1601 - I’ve passed on your comments; they had an hour long meltdown today.

Thank you @bowlingbun; I’m sorry to hear so many people are going through such difficult times. I’ve passed on your message especially re: “Residential will take off the pressure on you”.

Three kids with overlapping issues and nobody stepping up is exactly how families hit breaking point. She needs someone outside the NHS maze to sanity-check what’s happening. A support worker, advocate, literally anyone who can put pressure on the services. I used Autism 360 for that kind of thing when everyone else just kept telling me to “wait and see”.

“Wait and See” equates to “Let’s see if the parents will give in if we drag it out as long as possible”. The council kept delaying, giving me deadlines, but IPSEA were on my side and told the council that M needed to stay on for an extra year at the infant school with a 1:1 support worker until they sorted something out!
