Grateful for advice on suspected sedation and poor treatment of blind friend in care home

CHC or CQC?
That’s Continuing Healthcare or the Care Quality Commission?

sorry I meant the continuing health care; thank you so much

I hope the assessment is successful. Are you going to be there when she sees mum? I’d recommend you do this if possible.

Susan

today the nurse from continuing health care came out and send the home was meeting all of my friends needs; i politely disagreed; social worker is doing a safeguarding review and agrees with me my friends overall well being is not being served; after 2 years in this care home and at least one assault which the police have investigated (historic its called), my friend has lost all of her upper body weight, cannot stand unaided; it is really shocking; she is only 70; I will try and find another care home ; any advice gratefully received; thank you so much for your prayers and your help Susan x

You should be given a written copy. Make your own copy, make a cuppa then sit down with the report and a highlighter pen, highlight everything you disagree with, then write a formal complaint saying it was inaccurate, incomplete and misleading, or similar, then go through everything that was wrong and ask for a further assessment by someone else/competent/ senior manager or similar.
Sadly this is standard practice for CHC.
