Flu jab positive feedback

We’re looking for good practice where unpaid carers have got a free flu jab where they are aged under 65 in England. Did you get called for one by your GP practice? Did your local pharmacy suggest it to you as a carer? We’re looking for positive experiences to share, please feel free to comment here or email us at membership@carersuk.org

Yes, I was offered, and accepted an appointment. Disappointed no Covid jab as the same time as a disabled carer myself.

GP Practice offered me both Flu and Covid vaccinations (I am eligible for covid) - partner only offered flu, despite being 69, which is poor as he has multiple co-morbidities (cardiac, respiratory, stroke)

MY appointment was easy to book but had to request DN visit to give partner his as he was unable to get to one of the local centres due to illness.

Mum moved in with me after Dad died over ten years ago. She was still independent then and looked after me as much as me her. As she is deaf, I do accompany her to GP appointments and when we went for her first flu jab up here, the practice nurse told me I was eligible also because I lived with her and I have been offered one ever since. I still have a couple of years until 65.
